I just received an old photo of Cub N49595 from an acquaintence. The plane is Cub N49595. It is a duster. Photo was taken in Wilmington, DE in 1948.

A/C is still on registry with owner: North American Aircraft Holdings of Phoenix, AZ. It shows is a questionable, but airworthiness date of 1987 and registration of 2003. Manufacture date of 1944 leads me to believe it started life as L-4. Also of note is the cut off and flared out exhaust rather than going into the cowling and a muffler. It would have had an interesting sound.........more like a Champ with split exhaust.

Good to know the Cub is still around.
