Folks: Just finished a Wag Aero Sport Cub as a plans built from scratch(fuselage excepted). DAR has done his thing and I’m doing the phase 1 testing. getting a couple hours in the mornings (<80*) and oil temp hangs just below 200*. However The afternoon’s go(85-90*) the oil temp creeps up to 220* which concerns me. It’s got exposed cylinders and the inter cylinder baffles are removed and I’m running straight 100 A/S mineral oil at 2450 rpm. doesn’t have any glass so oil pressure and temp is the extent of my info. Pressure is running around 40 psi. The gauge is an original but was sent in for rebuild and calibration. I realize that 220 Is short of 240 but……..

what’s anyone’s thoughts out there?

Thanks
Sarpy Sam
