I have a J-3 with a 85-12 on it.
I have notice that the Engine Oil pressure will very.
Example: I may fly for 45 min. or longer, the pressure being around 40 psi. Then shut down, then start right back up and the pressure run 10 psi lower in cruise flight. This is all when the oil is hot.
