Oil pressure bulb leak

I have an oil leak at the connection of the oil pressure bulb to the brass boss on my engine. The small 5/8's hex is somewhat chewed up and I have tightened it as much as I dare without slipping off of it as someone has done in the past. Before I get back to the hangar with my line wrench are there any tricks to try. This connection accumulates a drop every few minutes.
