I try to fly at least every other day. With all of that flying comes a need to change the oil every 20-25 hours. Do you remove the cowling every time you need to change the oil, or have you worked out a system to quickly drain the oil? Do you use a quick drain with a trap door down on the bottom of the cowl? After and before each flight I peek through the cowl openings to see what is going on under there, and I would prefer not to remove the cowl once or twice a month for the needed oil change. I have no problem removing the cowl if there is a need to see something. But if the Cub is running well, no new oil drips, or other concerns, I'd prefer not to remove the cowl. I want to keep the cowl in good shape, taking it off and on seems to add wear and tear. What do you guys do? I run the C85 oil at the 3 qt level +/- 4 oz.
