I have read different opinions regarding hours flown and calender time for changing engine oil. I looked back in the history in cub talk and did not find the sources.
I had always understood to change the oil every 4 months or so or 25 hours which ever comes first depending on if you use an oil filter or not. Then I read someone denying that oil every brakes down with sitting up time and should only be changed with hours flown.
If you will read this months EAA sport magazine there is a special note ( I do not have the page in hand right now) but it has a lycombing bulletin type note to change the oil every 4 months regardless of time flown.
Just wanted to address that issue if anyone has other opinions ??
