I always figured it would be a car accident, or a midair, or some health problem - but today it was a poorly aimed Black Swan.

The Greek leaned over on a ladder to dust the blades of our ceiling fan - and it fell ten feet to the ground, leaving a crater in the rug and foundation approximately where she sits to watch West Wing re-runs. If it had hit her she would no longer be with us.

No one was hurt - but it points out - you never know.

Feeling quite lucky, and heading to the airport.
