Hey folks, wanted to introduce myself: Bruce Shipp from Wichita Falls, TX. We have been Cub owners for 14 hours and 37 minutes! We adopted a '46 C-85 and brought her home this afternoon.
I have been lurking here for several years in anticipation of becoming Cub owners and that glorious day has finally arrived.
I had my first Cub ride when I was 6 and I soloed that airplane on my 16th birthday (1979). I had a chance to fly that airplane again last summer. We flew a C170 for 10 years and sold it one year ago. We were plane-less for the last year while a local friend finished his Legend Cub. Once the 40 hours were flown off, he sold us his J-3. We keep here on an 1800' grass strip just north of town.
We are looking forward to getting to know you and learning more about the Cub.
