Hello Guys,
It has been a while since I’ve been on the forum. I’m in the process of purchasing another J-3 Cub. This will be the eighth Cub type airplane that I have owned over the years. It includes a super cub, and Legend Cub, and 6 J-3’s. They were all wonderful. I vacillate between going fast and going slow. I recently sold 180 hp RV-4. My 10 year old grandson has been begging me to buy another cub, so here we go. I am in the process of working with an escrow company to finish up the registration, and then will have a ferry pilot fly it from Colorado to KEET, south of Birmingham, AL. I am not a mountain flyer, and decided to leave that to someone with more mountain experience. It’s a totally restored 1946, C-85-12, with starter and many unique options, electrical system, radio, transponder, intercom and hidden wiring. It will be a month before it arrives. I’m looking forward to enjoying flying it. Avemco is having me get a medical and flight review every year, age related. That was completed this past week. I’ll look forward to being a member again.
