Fellas,

I know there is a similar post to this, but it doesn't quite answer what I need to know.

I just broke 10 hours on the new C90. It has O200 cylinders, cam, etc. It's fairly beefy. I started with 4 quarts of mineral 80 oil, and have just let it piddle out the breather tube since I got it. I see no need to keep filling it knowing it'll just breathe out the bottom. After 10 or so hours I am at 3 1/4 quarts, and still finding new oil splattered out the tube after a flight (though not as much as at first). Am I doing ok? I imagine if the motor is just going to breathe it out anyway I am not doing the motor any harm by not keeping it at 4 quarts during a break in.

Basically, I wouldn't be asking if this weren't a break-in period. My old A65 loved 3.5 quarts. This one seems to like just a touch less.

Temps and pressure are no issue.

Thoughts?
