Hello all,

I am new here, and this is my first post.
Just bought a 1942 original J3 65. It is in experimental category. Happy with the plane, but need help of you guys, who has large experience in this aircraft maintenance.
The Engine is a Continental A65-8.
An engine compression check was performed, and one of the cylinders only read 32/80 cold and 44/80 hot. All other cylinders are ok above 70. The bad cylinder was investigated with a borescope and realized the problem is in the exhaust valve which is burned and leaking compression.
The question is: As the engine is no more produced, is this valve available to buy brand new? Are this valve, guide and seat the same of C Continental series Engines (C-85/C90) or the new O-200 engines?
