Saturday morning I was heading to Harris Hill in Elmira NY, home of Schweitzer Aircraft. CC Joe wanted to go and was going to meet me half way over by Norwich NY. Norwich was fogged in and he buzzed around looking for a place to land while waiting for me. I get a text that he found a 1000' abandon strip called Morin and he'll wait there form me to catch up. Took me a while but I found him parked in a little strip with knee deep grass with big trees on both ends. And him on my headset telling me to come in but watch the tall grass and the rolls of chicken wire that was hidden in the tall grass when he landed but " I think I found them all and cleared them " So............ down I go, heck if a Carbon Cub can get in and out so can I. Joe gave me extra incentive to get down quick by parking sideways at the end of the strip. Got down ok and taxied up to Joe and we went exploring in some old buildings and found an old Adirondack guide boat looking for some love. Back taxied and overhung my tail over the creek to use every inch of usable runway. 25 " Goodyears and 100hp Cubs should not follow CC Cubs some days in deep wet grass but I got out ok and we headed south.

So half way to Elmira we spot a hilltop hayfield with a 20' wide strip that was just mowed and looks like it could be a runway so we decide to drop in and check it out. Nobody home but we snooped around and the guy had some really cool vehicles.
