I've only run skis with the original expander brakes and have zero experience with Grove brakes. How do skis mount with Grove brakes installed?

From looking at photos on the Grove website, it looks like the caliper unit has to come off in order to pull the wheel off since the rotor unit is riveted to the wheel? Are any spacers required to keep the ski from sliding in and out on the axle?

Thanks for any input!
