My J-3 has a W72CK40 per log book. But, it is unmarked as to pitch so I won't be able to confirm until I pull it off. I do have an almost new Sensench W72CK40 which I will try as soon as I can. But, if climb performance does not improve with the new wood prop then I am in the market for a metal prop. We have 2000 foot strip with trees on both ends and a hump in the middle In the summer with high humidity I would like better take off/climb performance. With two people and a full tank we had to fly around the trees rather than over them yesterday. Solo I can clear the trees but would like a little more clearance.

The other two Cubs at our field are a C85 and a stroked C85. (We flew them in formation over the New River Bridge last night) I know my A65 can't compete with the C85 but a little more climb performance would be great.
