It seems that our fellow Cub owner and somewhat eccentric Englishman Maurice Kirk has crashed his Cub (L4) again. This time 75 miles from shore NW of the Dominican Republic. He has been rescued by the USCG due to having an EPIRB.

Maurice first came to my attention when he showed up in Singapore as a participant in the London-Sydney Air Race. Pictures in my album. maurice made it to Australia and later to New Zeland then via the Philippines and Taiwan to S. Korea and Japan where he experienced an engine failure and crashed for the first time.

His Cub was shipped to the U.S. (New Hampshire?) where it was rebuilt. Maurice was reportedly heading to the Faulkland Islands in the South Atlantic. You can read more about his exploits on his website: http://www.kirkflyingvet.com/
