While the 10-4252-2 and the 10-4894-1 are both MA-3SPA series carburetors, there are manufacturing differences that provide different results.
The largest difference is the fuel flow. The 10-4252-2 and the 10-4894-1 provide different amounts of fuel at comparable test points.
The type certificate data sheet for the C90 and the O-200 (TCDS # E-252) list Continental part numbers 627367, 629175,637101 or 637835 as eligible for installation on the C90 series engines. The Continental part number for the 10-4252-2 is 627367.
TCDS # E-252 list Continental part numbers 530625, 530726, 640416 or 633028 as eligible for installation on the O-200 series engines. The Continental part number for the 10-4894-1 is 633028.
