Attempted to go fly today, ground initially heard half of my call for taxi call but then informed me I was unreadable. I have a year old ICOM A25 radio...god knows how old my antennae or battery powered ics connector are though. initially I checked all connections, replaced the 9v battery in the ics connector, and made every possible adjustment to my vox possible. I was able to hear everyone else's radio transmissions perfectly fine. Finally, i decided to try isolating my magnetos, and when I was only on my right mag ground was able to hear me fine. Any thoughts? How much would a new set of magnetos cost me if that ends up being the case? I'm a neophyte when it comes to aircraft ownership.
