Cubbers,

My old oil dipstick was a rusty eye sore, but sturdy so I purchased a shiny new one from Spruce. It worked great for about 20 hours, now I've been on 4 or five flights where I landed to find the cap unscrewed and just bouncing around in the filler neck. Not to mention splattering all over the right wing strut. I thought maybe I just wasn't tightening it correctly. I just changed the gasket and ordered new ones (various thicknesses) from Linda Lou, Inc to try to fix it.

I read some previous posts about bending the ears, but I wanted to clarify the technique. I tried it yesterday, and I couldn't get enough levereage with a flat head to make it move. I was afraid if I pryed (sp/) any harder, I beak it.

Experienced Cub drivers' ideas welcomed.

Mike-
