I am new here and am 34 years old, a single father of a 5 year old girl, and am currently enrolled in a part 147 school in Eugene, Oregon. I will be taking my O&P's in late May, early June. I am restoring a 1943 L4A with my Pop and am looking to upgrade my A65-8F to an A75. From what I understand it is easiest to buy an A-75 data plate and logs and then just transfer them to your A-65 case. (If you know an easier way, please let me know) I have completely dismantled my A-65, ultrasonically cleaned the case halves, cylinders, accessory case, and carburetor. I have done the dimensional inspection on the crankshaft and am going to magnaflux the crankshaft, camshaft, crank and cam gears, rocker arms, connecting rods, and am going to zyglow the case halves and accessory case next week.
I guess I am looking for an A-75 data plate and logs. I am also looking for a reasonably priced undamaged engine mount.
Any tips, hints, disinformation, unwarranted advice, tall tales, and outright lies and fabrications greatly appreciated.
