After all the repairing and painting the rebuild has started.
What I had hoped was going to be a good day went backwards pretty quickly. I had planned to get her back on her feet for the first time in 18 years.
I found that the brake cover plate will not fit up against the plate on the leg. It interferes with the oleo fixing points as per the pic. I put an 1/8" packing between the two to get clearance. Should there be a packing piece in between or do I have the wrong brake cover plates. Also i only have 1 spacer, inboard side, with the wheel. Is this right. Should there be anything outboard. My J4A is a 1939 but some aspects are from a 1940.
I have now stalled so would very much appreciate some help.
