I bought this plane end of aug, ser no 16389 frame no 17034. Now ser no says march 22 46 and frame no says may of 46, but it's an l4, mag switch over door, leveling tubes each side of window, wood spars, gauges mounted in their own plate but not rubber mounted, no sign of mag switch on left side, has green house, behind back seat on top welded 2in loop down vert tube clamp with small loop, close to bottom tabs (table bracket ?). I know that a ser tag can be changed with two screws but the frame tag is welded and nobody 30 years ago would bother with it. I have engine log that says 1946 total time since new, taken from army records.
My question is this plane is to late to be a L4 or maby not so what is it
