Hello everyone,

My J-3 C65 left aileron inboard hinge bracket (Steel tube type) seems to have some play, but since I cannot access its forward end other than by cutting through the fabric (Which I'd like to avoid), I'd like to know if anyone has ever had this problem.
The play is not at the hinge but inside the wing. I cannot find a good picture of this part anywhere. From the tiny little drawing I have in the Piper structure manual, it seems to be made of a tube with a "Y" shape, the ends of which are bolted onto the rear spar. The problem could be loose bolts but I can see at least the bottom nut which is properly locked with a split pin.

Can anyone provide a good drawing or photo of this part so that I can see what may have gone wrong ?

Thanks for your help !
