I know that this subject has been discussed in many threads, but I am hoping to collect a consolidated list or table of proper instruments for early and late model Cubs. There are many combinations, but I'm specifically looking for factory original configurations.

Can you guys clarify for a late model J3 (1946/1947)... I believe Airspeed and Oil temp/pressure are clear, but can you answer the following:

Tach: I know it is called out in the TC, but were they black or cream?

Altimeter: Sensitive or non-sensitive, and black or cream?

Compass: 2.5" or 3.5", and makes/models

Thanks,

Josh
