From what I can see, we really don't have a Northwest J3 Flyin? I know there's Lompoc as far as West Coast is concerned but nothing up here. Is that right?
The 2009 NW Super Cub Flyin is coming up in about a month. Even though it has Super Cub in the name, they invite any and all cool airplanes. Last year I saw Cessnas, a Taylorcraft, Champ, Helio Courier, Turbine Porter, etc. I just talked talked to Jason on the phone and he said they'd love to see us there.
It's a great event. STOL competition, flower bombing, sand bars, BBQ, good stuff. They are a great bunch of guys. I'm going, it would be great if there were a sea of yellow (or whatever color) there.
Here's a link to last year's Flyin. Scroll to the end for a little info on this year. The organizational meeting is this weekend and there will be official info to follow.
It would be great to see a bunch of J3s there!
