Hey folks,
I'm 27 (single) and live in San Antonio, Texas. I am self-employed and have lots of time. The thing I'm working on right now is saving up so I can buy a cub (or a 90hp super cub) and do training.
I have 0 hours and no flight training. If you were in my shoes, HOW WOULD YOU TRAIN?
I've seen some people say that you should learn first in non-tailwheel planes (172/150) and then go immediately to tailwheel. But, others say that if you are just gonig to stay with a cub, then just train in a cub!
Also, should I get training done as close together as possible? I was thinking of taking a week off or something and do it!
Because of my hearing loss and uncertainty with radios, I don't think I'll go to PPL and therefore will stay with Sport Pilot. Thats okay because I just want to fly for recreation and maybe the occassional cross country.
So, what would you do? I want to be the best pilot possible. Thanks for any advice!
P.S> Any recommendations on a Sport pilot training material? Sportys?
