Today I put $75.00 worth of gas in a Cub...well it was a Legend, so that was 14.6 gallons. I used to cringe at a bill like that for my 250 Comanche.

When I started flying in 1968 Avgas was $.60 a gallon. Yeah, I know I was making $150 a week, but the price of gas seems out of whack. In 1968 that amount of gas would have cost about $8.50. Today my wife and I can go out and have a real nice dinner for $75.00. Even in 1968 you couldn't get much for $8.50, dinnerwise.

Oh, well, it could be worse, I guess our European members pay more than that.

BTW, this purchase was at the cheaper of the two FBO's at the airport. One was $5.25, the other $5.38.
