I am working on a Super Cub, and the Compass sits on about 60deg. No mater which way you turn the aircraft.
I removed the Compass, and found that it works fine. There is no large amount of metal added anywhere that would cause this.
I remember reading an article somewhere on the subject of Degaussing an airframe.
The article went into building the unit.
I think the article was in the Cub Club, or Light Plane Maintenance, I haven’t had a chance to look.
I would appreciate any help on this.
