Hi guys,

I have a Cub (NC3336N, S/N 22534 a December '46 mfg. date) under major overhaul (at 9B1)and it features a unique horizontally sliding left window. The left window Plexiglas is split into two halves and slides in a metal track with felt trim. Part of the Major Overhaul was fabric replacement and when we got the fabric off we took a close look at the left fuselage metal work. The window frame metal work is impeccable and looks to be factory but I don't think horizontally sliding windows was a factory option late '46 or early '47. At the left fuselage there is no indication that there was a vertically sliding window ever installed in this Cub. Does anyone have any information on this unique feature?
I can't seem to fins an STC for this feature. Any comments appreciated.
