I know somebody is going to make me feel dumb, but I've exhausted my knowleadge base. I have a great, powerful, but old KX-99 in the Cub with a standard 2-plug headset adapter that goes from my headset directly into the receptical on the radio. Now the small jacks for the radio aren't plugging in solid and makes the radio cut out at the worst possible times.

The only replacement I could find was from Sporty's http://www.sportys.com/PilotShop/category/832/2and while I don't mind paying the $26 bucks, most of the reviews said the plug fit poorly and has the same problems I'm trying to fix. The other sources I searched must be for some other radios as they're not just a simple headset to radio plug, but have some odd third wire for something.

I 've tried Skygeek, Marv Golden, etc. Any other ideas?
