In addition to seeing a few genuine Pipers for sale [and truth be told I could likely only swing a percentage] there are a few certified experimental home-built clones. Only needing 440-ish usable pounds, a light genuine article would be perfect. But maybe a light clone could be. . .dare I say. . .more perfect?

Maintenance costs would be fewer, but I couldn't ever decide to give lessons in it [not that I have a CFI-S. . .or that I'm 100 hours away from a CFI-S].

Any thoughts on genuine vs imitation -- especially since genuine is a bit pricey [yeah, I know it's an investment. . .that is. . .if you can swing first cost.]
