On a different thread some guys mentioned that I should replace my fuel line, which was an automotive type clamp on line, with a proper crimped and braided line (like Aeroquip).

I am getting this made up in this week and have a question about the routing of the line. Currently it goes below the oil sump to the carb, but I would like to route it over the oil sump to the carburetor. This is to create more clearance between line and new 4-1 exhaust.

Is there any problem with this type of routing? I did loosen the current line from the carb, routed it over the sump and opened the fuel cock and fuel flowed out.

See picture below for better indication of current and planned route. (Red line is where I plan to route it.)

Thanks
