Have you heard this rule of thumb to estimate the remaining fuel in a Cub ?
From the front seat with the arm in direction of the fuel wire gauge:
If Top of the gauge is 4 fingers above bottom level = 1 hr endurance remaining
8 fingers : 2 hrs and 12 fingers : full / 3 hrs.
This is for a standard 12 gal tank.
Have not tried it bit seems to make sense. I am always a bit unsure of the remaining endurance left with those gauges and always measuring flight time. This may help a bit when unsure.
