What a mess, lots of corrosion, mud dobbers everywhere, damaged wings and controls, frame rust and frame tubes corroded through. Engine had only 600 hrs and was clean inside with storage oil but it was so badly corroded on the outside it could not be saved. I should have just walked away but it had all records from day one so I jumped in with both feet.
Two years later I flew it today with a new CofA. It had not flown since the late 70s but today it flew great virtually hands off.
