What is your favorite season to fly? I usually fly more during the winter than during the summer, because other things compete with flying in warm weather. Last fall I flew to Cumberland, MD, and took some pictures of fall colors and a cabin on a ridge top.

Today I made the same flight. Temperature at Front Royal was 32 degrees F, and in the mountains, much colder. Heavy frost covered the trees on the ridge where the cabin is. Here and in the next post are comparison pictures from both flights. Both were on beautiful days, and the scenery was beautiful both days. I don't know which is my favorite season.
