My J5 must have overheard my choice words the other night while I was having some trouble hand propping a hot engine.

Actaully, I discovered a hole, about the size of a quarter, on the top of the wing between the wingtip bow and the outboardmost rib. Not sure how long it may have been there -- its a part of the wing you can't normally see from many angles -- an incline today alerted me. I've grounded myself until the my ceconite and dope arive, but what are the legal parameters for fabric holes -- I assume 83 mph tape isn't approved -- is it considered like removable gps's? Anyone point me to any relevant FARs or other reading material while I wait?
