Have an Essex primer that leaks. The primer line goes to the carb and it's getting too much fuel. Running rough around 1200 rpm with all kinds to smoke out the exhaust. Rebuilt it with new o rings and still runs bad. Cleans up and runs fine at full power.
So I've heard from a few sources that Cubs really don't need a primer. Should I replace or just disconnect it and plug off the line?
(You can see the primer line top of the pic in the middle)
