Seven months ago I bought a C-85-12 core with the idea of replacing my excellent C-90-8 engine so I could have an electric starter by my 80th birthday. I'll be 80 tomorrow and today I was able to push a button and start my C- 85 stroker. Have been hand propping this Cub for 24 years, but I will enjoy being inside & buckled in for engine start. Project was completed on time, but NOT under budget. Performance is about the same as the C-90 with the same 72GK44 prop.
Thanks to a number of guys on this forum for answering several questions along the way The forum is a great source of information.
