Yesterday we flew the Cub with my wife for a couple of hours and she did a solo around the pattern. After the last landing, while the Cub was stopped on the runway she pushed back the Carb heat at full idle and added some rpm to taxi back but the engine quit just while she was re-applying power.
We started back the engine without problem, the iddle was fine. We flew back for 30min, landed, re-tested the iddle: no pronlem.
Weather was cloudy at 3000ft and around 60F temp. Was wondering if it was a sort of carb icing but she applied the carb heat as usuaĺ in downwind.
Not sure what happened. Any idea ?
