Hey all,
I flew my cub day before yesterday(N33242). Absolutely beautiful evening, picture perfect, cub was puring perfectly, flew for about 30 minutes, perfect clear sky, absolutly no wind at all, 75 degrees, couldn't ask for it to be more perfect. After about 30 minutes I came back in and done one of the best 3 point landings of my life, never felt or heard the wheels touch the pavement, all three wheels just started rolling at the same time. I turned around to take off again, throttle full, wheels off in less then 200 feet, then p-p-p-poot!!! Throttle back, still lots of runway ahead(even on a 2400' runway), got her back on and stopped and the engine was idling perfectly. Did a full throttle run up and after about 20-30 seconds it did the same thing. Haven't had time to trouble shoot it yet but I'm assuming a carb/fuel flow issue. Even after that I still put her away with a big smile on my face for being able to enjoy such a perfect evening in such a great little airplane. Kev
