After looking around at all the various tugs - all easily over $1000+ I was frustrated and refused to spend that kind of money, then have to modify for a Scott tailwheel. It was not easy pulling it up-slope getting in my hangar, I was determined to think of an alternative.
So, one day, with no particular ideas in mind, I was walking around at the local Wallyworld and some big A** bertha was riding around the store on their scooters. She was big! An idea was born, thought out, analyzed and a plan hatched. I looked on Craigslist and found an old worn out one. The guy wanted $200 for it and talked it down to $150. Confirmed it ran, then off to the garage shop.
So, I started with one of these (very used)

.
Then started taking everything apart. Angle grinder to cut off what I didn't need and a few mod's here and there and got to this stage with it
.
.
.
.
Then onto the next stage.... a little very simple welding here and there and ended up with the final version.

For less than $200 TOTAL This thing is just flat awesome. Tugs it right up the hill without a glitch..
