Cub History By CN Number

Hi All,

I was hoping someone here may be able to point me in the right direction.

I want to find out the History of a Cub J5a. I have the CN number but can only find out history to the 1980's.
I understand it was built in 1940 and imported from the US in 1980.

Does anyone know where or how I could obtain the history of that specific Cub?
