Tomorrow is my Cub’s 73rd Birthday. Thought I’d share this, posted on Facebook Cub page earlier, here.

Oct 8, 1978-My first solo flight in an airplane, a Piper Cub, two days before my 16th Birthday.

Oct 9, 1946-Roll out and production date of my Piper J-3 Cub

Oct 10, 1946 First flight of my Cub (per original logbooks)

Oct 10, 1962 my own roll out date.

I guess I was destined to have my Cub, mostly restored by my dad.

First picture is my Cub.

Second is my Cub’s tail and my brother’s Cub in distance, the one in which we both learned to fly taught by our dad. We both inherited our Cubs from dad.
