I have had them leak. Others report perennial problems. Crosshatch, move the seal, etc. I am thinking that there must be a better seal out there, and intend to look around.

The engine was built back when good engineers used currently available parts, and this seal size was not invented for the Continental. I will measure the thing and do a little research.

I understand that Lycoming will supply an undersized seal, but Continental has not bothered.

Anybody else been down this road?
