Anyone see the new article with the old Continental Service Bulletin about compression checks?
Think it's in Sport Aviation.
Short story: leaking valves bad!
Leaking intact piston rings causing low compression OK.
Use borescope to check cylinder - valves and broken ring marks instead of pulling cylinder.
More info in article.
