This is probably a really dumb question, but I am going to ask anyway. I was going to hang my ailerons today and needed to clean out the dope (poly brush/spray/tone) from the hole in the hinges on both the wing and the aileron. I was curious if there is a easy and efficient method to effectively clean the holes out. I typically use a bolt so the threads can "cut" into the dope and pull it out a little bit at a time by going in and out many times, just a bit further each time. It is slow, but doesn't booger up the hinge. I had considered a drill bit, but decided against that.
Just curious how you guys do it.
My Cub is about 90% done. I don't figure it will take me but abuot 2 years to do the last 10%!!!!! Too many distractions.......flying my brother's cub, flying and working on my Starduster, surfing the net looking at other airplanes, etc.
