Hey guys .. thought you might get a kick out of this ....
Charlie Culp ...AKA... the Flying Farmer, performed his next-to-last show here at my local airport, Peach Tree City / Falcon Field. I had the good fortune to get to spend about 30 minutes talking to this legendary man on the flightline prior to his performance. My wife and I had flown the Cub over for the day and Charlie was interested in knowing every detail about her. We talked Cubs for a bit and then about his retirement. He is such a generous and personable individual. My wife is in the process of making a small photo album to send to him ..his last performance at KFFC. Many are trying to imitate but no one will ever match Charlie Culp as the Flying Farmer... even if they can still fly when their 82. We will miss his act on the air show circuit as will many others. We wish him all the best in his retirement and hope he gets to continue to take his dog along for Cub rides for many years to come. Your the best Charlie!
