"Considering" a C85-12 that was overhauled a loooong time ago ('64) and has a few hundred hours on it since. Cylinders were ground to .015 over back then and recent compressions are right at 70/80. Starts and runs fine and includes carb and mags. Has logs back to 64. It's spent it's life on a Stits Playboy and a T40 so am looking at this as a core that would need to be overhauled to bring back to certified status. Any thoughts as to what this thing's worth? I'm thinking no more than $2k? Guy wants $3500. It sat on the T40 for years. Was ground run a few hours in November. I have copies of the logs and all entries are by an A&P.

Wondering if I should entertain it as a core...or run as fast as I can.

Appreciate any insight.
