My J5 has the old style reservoir shown in the photo. It has developed a slight leak and will need to be brazed (again). Is it legal to change over to the newer machined aluminum reservoirs or am i stuck with repairing this one? I haven’t found any source for a new one of this style. it looks like the can that automotive brake fluid used to come in. the capacity of this one seems huge compared to other aircraft i’m familiar with. Is this required?

thanks
