I was reading about a variable pitch propeller setup on the L-4J in the -2, and I'm thinking that it is the same "Propeller Beech (Roby) R-002-205" [Item 1. of A-691].

Just to satisfy my curiosity, has anyone ever flown one? Online I see that some Luscombe 8s were so equipped -- and they are approved in A-694. I also wonder if "Item 8 Flottorp, controllable R002" in A-759 [7AC] is the same or a competitor.

Thanks
