I am looking at a Cub available for auction. This is what it says on the FAA site about the Airworthiness.

Engine Manufacturer CONT MOTOR
Engine Model C85 SERIES
Classification Special Flight Permit
Category Ferry Flights
A/W Date 06/11/1984

My take is that when the engine was changed the airworthiness certificate was not updated and this is the reason it is being sold at auction.

Any comments.........Thanks.....
